Firearms

Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan have a variety of rules and regulations when it comes to buying a firearm for hunting purposes. A firearms license is required for individuals who wish to possess or acquire firearms and go hunting. This includes both non-restricted firearms, such as most rifles and shotguns, and restricted firearms, such as handguns and certain types of semi-automatic rifles.

Wildside Outdoors takes great pride in being committed to responsible firearms and making sure individuals with proper training have the license to possess firearms.,

Whether you are a seasoned firearms enthusiast or a first-time gun owner, we have a license that is right for you.

Following are some of the major types of firearms licenses you can obtain in Alberta and Saskatchewan:

Possession And Acquisition License

The Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) is the most common type of firearms license in Canada and allows an individual to possess and acquire both non-restricted and restricted firearms. To obtain a PAL, you must complete a firearms safety course and pass a background check conducted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Restricted Possession And Acquisition License

The Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (RPAL) is required for individuals who wish to possess and acquire restricted firearms, such as handguns. The process for obtaining an RPAL is similar to the process for obtaining a PAL, with the addition of a written exam.

Minor's Licenses

We also offer Minor's Licenses for individuals between the ages of 12 and 17. These licenses allow minors to possess and use non-restricted firearms under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Obtaining a firearms license is important for responsible firearms ownership in Canada.
